In the early morning hours of June 18, 2017, the vibrant nightlife of Richmond, Virginia's Shockoe Bottom neighborhood was shattered by gunfire. Robert D. Turner Jr., a 26-year-old male, was caught in the violence that erupted near the historic 17th Street Farmer's Market. The chaos of the triple shooting left two other individuals, a man and a woman, with non-life-threatening injuries, but Turner's wounds were far more severe.
