In the summer of 2016, a life was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. James Grant III, a 35-year-old man from Franklin, Virginia, was fatally shot on Friday, June 24, 2016. The shooting occurred in the Gilpin Court neighborhood of the city, a community that has unfortunately been the scene of other violent crimes.
