In the early morning hours of a quiet Saturday in June 2023, the life of Darryl Talley, a 61-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. It would be two full days before the grim discovery was made. On Monday, June 5th, Richmond Police officers, responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle, found Talley inside a parked car in the 3800 block of Castlewood Road. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
