In the early hours of March 10, 2016, the life of 23-year-old Jahshim Nahshon Turnbull, a Black male from Virginia Beach, was tragically cut short in Henrico County, near Richmond, Virginia. Around 12:15 a.m., a citizen flagged down a police officer near the intersection of Alma Avenue and East Laburnum Avenue to report a shooting. Responding to the alert, officers discovered Turnbull's body on Conway Street, near Cliff Avenue. He had been fatally shot.
