Zyemontae Redd, a 15-year-old Black male, was killed in the early hours of October 26, 2014, when gunfire tore through the Mosby Court area of Richmond, Virginia. Just before 1:30 a.m., police were called to the 1400 block of Coalter Street for reports of shots fired, and they arrived to a scene that was already beyond saving—Redd, who was from the Henrico area, had been hit and died at the scene.
