In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, the quiet of a Norfolk street was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On July 19, 2023, just before 1 a.m., police were called to the 6200 block of Alexander Street with a report of a man having been shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Martin P. Boney, a 55-year-old male, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Mr. Boney was pronounced dead at the scene.
