In the late afternoon of June 20, 2024, the sound of gunfire shattered the relative quiet of a Norfolk, Virginia neighborhood, leading to a tragic loss of life. Javid K. Williams, a 19-year-old male, was caught in the violence that erupted around 4:45 p.m. Norfolk Police officers were in the vicinity of the 900 block of Bagnall Road when they heard the gunshots.
