In the early morning hours of Saturday, December 6, 2025, a violent incident unfolded in Norfolk, Virginia, disturbing the quiet of the 900 block of Bagnall Road. Around 3:20 a.m., local law enforcement officers were dispatched to the residential area after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival at the scene, first responders discovered a 26-year-old male victim suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Despite the immediate presence of emergency personnel, the severity of his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the location.
The victim was subsequently identified as Cameron S. Nicholson, a resident of Norfolk. Following the tragedy, his family and community mourned the loss of a father, son, and brother. Obituary details released shortly after his passing noted that he was the son of Angela Fore and Theodore Nicholson. He left behind three children—Chance, Naomii, and Kai—and was also survived by the mother of his children, Nya, as well as his siblings Jerry, Marquis, Sadorie, and Abrisha Fore. Family and friends gathered to pay their final respects during a viewing and funeral service held in mid-December at the Keith Matthews Funeral Home.
Detectives with the Norfolk Police Department launched a homicide investigation immediately following the shooting. While other violent incidents occurring in the city that same weekend resulted in swift arrests, authorities did not immediately announce any suspects or charges specifically related to the death on Bagnall Road.
