In the early morning hours of September 21, 2019, the life of 42-year-old Isaac Lee Wells of Norfolk, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Wells, a male, was one of two victims in a fatal shooting that unfolded in the Oakleaf Forest public housing community. The incident also claimed the life of 33-year-old Michael Wilkins.
Norfolk police responded to reports of gunshots in the 1800 block of Greenleaf Drive around 4:40 a.m..
Upon their arrival, they discovered both Wells and Wilkins suffering from gunshot wounds.. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Wells, born on October 10, 1976, was a beloved member of his community and family.. He was remembered for his love of fishing, boxing, and old-school music.. Despite the ongoing investigation by the Norfolk Police Department, no arrests have been made in connection with the double homicide..
