Death by Force

Edward Stowers, a 74-year-old resident of Vicksburg, Mississippi, was fatally shot on June 10, 2023. The incident occurred early in the morning around 4:24 a.m. when the Vicksburg Police Department received a report about a man lying in the street at the intersection of Franklin Street and Military Avenue in the Marcus Bottom area. Upon arrival, officers found Stowers suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey.
