On June 8, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Vicksburg, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Kelvion Winston from Fayette. The shooting took place just after 11:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Crawford Street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found Winston suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Merit Health River Region for treatment, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
