On September 15, 2024, Anthony Lee Brown, a 40-year-old resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, was fatally shot in Severn. Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 8:50 p.m. in the 8000 block of Marlton Court. Upon arrival, they discovered Brown in a wooded area with multiple gunshot wounds.
