In the early morning hours of June 3, 2023, in Harvey, Louisiana, a burst of targeted gun violence ended the life of 27-year-old Jaevon Walton, an African American male. The incident unfolded around 4 a.m. in the 2100 block of Manhattan Boulevard. Responding deputies from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office discovered Walton in the driver's seat of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
