In the fading daylight of December 7, 2015, a burst of violence on a canal bank in Harvey, Louisiana, tragically cut short the life of 17-year-old Sidney Landry. The young man, a male Caucasian, was shot near Tallow Tree Lane and 21st Street in his hometown. Despite his grave injuries, he managed to flee the scene, running a short distance before collapsing on the front porch of a home in the 1200 block of 21st Street in the neighboring community of Gretna.
