Ashley Burton, a 37-year-old Black transgender woman, was fatally shot on April 11, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia. A talented hairstylist and makeup artist, she was found deceased in the breezeway of her apartment complex on Fairburn Road SW. Authorities believe she was shot inside her residence and sought help from neighbors before succumbing to her injuries.
