In the early morning hours of December 18, 2021, a tragedy unfolded in an Atlanta, Georgia apartment that claimed the lives of 40-year-old Centeria Summerville Fields and 45-year-old Stanley R. Pratt. The couple was inside their residence at the Columbia at Peoplestown apartments on Tuskegee Street when a lone gunman launched a brutal attack. The incident began when Pratt was shot after stepping outside. He managed to retreat back into the apartment, but the assailant followed him inside.
