Her death was later linked to Roberta Elder, a woman who became infamously known as a serial killer. Roberta Elder, also referred to as Roberta Crane at the time, was Gloria's cousin and had taken her into her home. Gloria's death was one of several suspicious fatalities connected to Roberta, who was later implicated in the deaths of numerous family members and acquaintances.
