On May 19, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at the Lowell Apartments located in the 4700 block of Milgen Road in East Columbus, Georgia. The incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals, one of whom was 23-year-old Kayla Jenkins.
Kayla Jenkins was pronounced dead outside the apartment building at 7:15 P.M. following a shooting. According to the Muscogee County Coroner's Office, Jenkins suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
