Death by Force

On the evening of October 30, 2024, 38-year-old Sekedra "Shunta" McCoy was fatally shot at the Elizabeth Canty Homes in Columbus, Georgia. Responding to reports of gunfire around 8:34 p.m., police officers discovered McCoy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was promptly transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m.
