Death by Force

On March 25, 2023, at approximately 12:03 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Joy Road in Columbus, Georgia. Upon arrival, they found a 63-year-old Black female, later identified as Sharon Johnson, suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence. Despite the efforts of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Sharon Johnson could not be resuscitated. Coroner Buddy Bryan arrived at the scene and pronounced her deceased at 1:15 a.m..
