Springs, a 38-year-old Black man, was found deceased inside his residence in the 1500 block of Carlisle Avenue on December 26, 2017. The discovery was made by police officers who had been called to the home to conduct a welfare check after a concerned family member reported that he had not shown up for Christmas festivities the
day before.
Upon entering the home, law enforcement found Mr. Springs, who had been fatally shot multiple times.
