On July 18, 2024, at approximately 3:35 AM, Valdosta Police Officers responded to a call at Park Chase Apartments in Valdosta, Georgia, after a citizen reported a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Martevalous L. Williams Sr., a 32-year-old African American male and Valdosta resident, in the stairwell of the apartments with a gunshot wound to his torso.
