In the late summer of 2020, the life of 19-year-old Johnnie Ty Juan Malachi was tragically cut short in Valdosta, Georgia. On Sunday, August 30, 2020, in the early morning hours, an altercation in the parking lot of Vibez Nightclub on Bemiss Road ended in gunfire. Johnnie, a male resident of Valdosta, sustained a gunshot wound.
Responding to 911 calls, officers from the Valdosta Police Department arrived at the chaotic scene to find Johnnie injured. They administered first aid until emergency medical services arrived and transported him to South Georgia Medical Center. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
