On May 11, 2023, Dr. Calandra Letisha Green, a 50-year-old public health officer in Oakland County, Michigan, was found dead in her home in Pontiac. The incident was discovered after Dr. Green failed to show up for work, prompting a welfare check by authorities. Upon entering her residence, officers found Dr. Green and her husband, Charles Quincy Green, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
