William Gerald Hodges, a 49-year-old white male, was found dead on July 10, 1980, in Valdosta, Georgia. His body was discovered slumped over the wheel of his vehicle in the parking lot of a truck stop. Hodges had sustained two gunshot wounds, one to the head and another to the shoulder.
