In the early evening of February 8, 2020, a gathering of people in the 900 block of Nardo Street in Valdosta, Georgia, took a tragic turn. James Bivins Jr., a 32-year-old male, was in attendance when an altercation broke out amongst the crowd. The dispute quickly escalated, leading to an exchange of gunfire between several individuals. In the midst of the chaos, a bullet struck Bivins in the torso.
