In the days leading up to Christmas, a domestic disturbance in a Valdosta, Georgia, residence escalated to a tragic conclusion, leaving a young boy dead and his father facing murder charges. On the afternoon of Friday, December 22, 2023, thirteen-year-old Lavonte Seward Jr. was fatally shot. He was transported to South Georgia Medical Center by a private vehicle, but despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced deceased.
