On November 4, 2024, Amarius Dakwon Shivers, a 20-year-old African American male and resident of Valdosta, Georgia, was fatally shot inside a residence located in the 500 block of Brookdale Circle in Valdosta. The incident was reported to E911 around 5:00 p.m. when a citizen called to report that someone had been shot.
