On the afternoon of Friday, December 19, 2025, a violent confrontation unfolded in the 1500 block of Baymeadows Drive in Valdosta, Georgia. Around 4:50 p.m., 35-year-old male Jordan Warren was walking in the neighborhood when he was approached by two individuals. According to witnesses and investigators, the encounter quickly escalated into an armed robbery. The assailants brandished a firearm and forcibly took a backpack-style bag from Warren. In an attempt to defend himself and escape the situation, Warren produced his own weapon, but multiple shots rang out before he could get away, leaving him with a critical gunshot wound to the chest.
Emergency responders from the Valdosta Police Department and Fire Department arrived shortly after receiving frantic 911 calls reporting a man down. They discovered Warren lying on the ground and immediately began rendering aid before transporting him to South Georgia Medical Center. Despite the life-saving efforts of the medical staff and first responders, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Meanwhile, detectives and crime scene personnel secured the area, launching an immediate search for the perpetrators who had been seen fleeing the scene on foot.
Investigators quickly obtained surveillance footage from nearby homes, which captured images of the suspects running away. This digital evidence, combined with witness descriptions, allowed police to track the individuals to a residence located on the same block where the shooting occurred. Within an hour of the incident, officers surrounded the home and made contact with the occupants. Inside, they found two teenagers who matched the descriptions observed in the video footage. Police arrested 18-year-old Jeremiah Albritton and a 16-year-old juvenile male in connection with the homicide. Both suspects were taken into custody and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Albritton was transported to the Lowndes County Jail, while the younger teen was taken to a Regional Youth Detention Center.
