In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Washington, D.C., the sound of gunfire shattered the night, leaving a family and community to grapple with a sudden and tragic loss. On November 7, 2024, 30-year-old Tyrone Burch, a resident of Northeast, D.C., was fatally shot in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast. The male victim was discovered by Fifth District officers from the Metropolitan Police Department who were responding to reports of gunshots in the area just before 11 p.m.
