On July 6, 2019, at approximately 4:50 AM, Demarco Jones, aged 25, was shot and killed in the 400 block of Burns Street, SE, Washington, D.C. Officers from the Sixth District responded to a call reporting a person down. Upon arrival, they discovered Jones unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
