On February 26, 2023, a homicide occurred in the 5100 block of Sheriff Road in Northeast Washington, D.C. At approximately 3:42 pm, Sixth District police officers responded to a report of a shooting and found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims, identified as 34-year-old Harold Bogan of Temple Hills and 32-year-old Wayne Sheppard of Seat Pleasant, were pronounced dead at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
