In the early hours of July 2, 2020, the life of 30-year-old Demetrius Sullivan was cut short in a fatal shooting in Washington, D.C. A Black male from Suitland, Maryland, Sullivan was discovered inside a vehicle in the 1100 block of 46th Place, Southeast, just after midnight. Officers from the Sixth District had responded to the area after reports of gunshots.
