In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 9, 2026, the life of 18-year-old Daremiah Banks was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in Southeast, Washington, D.C. The fatal shooting occurred around 5:26 a.m. in the 1100 block of K Street, Southeast, a residential area near the Potomac Avenue Metro station.
