In the early morning hours of June 20, 2024, a dispute in the 4400 block of Hunt Place, Northeast, escalated into a fatal act of violence, claiming the life of 21-year-old Marcellus Jackson. The young man, a resident of Northeast, D.C., was found in the roadway by Metropolitan Police Department officers who responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 3:21 a.m. Tragically, he had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
