In the late afternoon of a Friday in Washington, D.C., a burst of violence shattered the autumn quiet. On November 5, 2021, in the 3500 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast, 26-year-old Anthony Depetris was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 4:58 p.m., a time when the city was transitioning from the day's work to the evening's repose.
