On November 27, 2022, at approximately 12:44 AM, 19-year-old Corey Riggins Jr. was tragically shot and killed in the 4300 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch responded to the scene following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered Riggins suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
