On a summer morning in Washington, D.C., the sounds of gunshots shattered the peace of Marvin Gaye Park. When police arrived at the 500 block of Division Avenue, Northeast, on August 13, 2024, they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Antowine Baker, a resident of Northeast, D.C.
