On the evening of February 23, 2014, at approximately 9:16 pm, 18-year-old Marquette Davon Hooks was fatally shot in the 1300 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
