In the early evening of Monday, June 2, 2025, the Trinidad neighborhood of Northeast Washington, D.C., was disrupted by the sound of gunfire. Just before 8:00 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District were dispatched to the rear of the 1200 block of Raum Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man on the ground suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The man was identified as 33-year-old Kalil Jerald Brow
