On August 16, 2021, at approximately 12:31 AM, Omar Moore, a 34-year-old resident of Hyattsville, MD, was shot and killed in the 3800 block of South Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and found Moore suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
