In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Washington, D.C., the sounds of gunshots shattered the quiet of the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. It was approximately 1:14 a.m. on September 30, 2020, when police responded to the 3200 block of Hiatt Place, NW. There, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
