On a November night in 2017, the life of 30-year-old Marcel Harrison was tragically cut short in the Garfield Heights neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C.. Responding to a call about an unconscious person just before midnight, police discovered Harrison suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 3000 block of 30th Street Southeast. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
