On the evening of February 7, 2022, the life of Ernest Alonzo Dorsey, a 52-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Northeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 9:13 p.m. in the 4200 block of Edson Place, NE. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Mr. Dorsey suffering from gunshot wounds.
