On September 21, 2018, 27-year-old Kajuan Deris Young was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 900 block of 3rd Street SW, Washington, D.C., near the Waterfront Metro station. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred around 11:01 a.m., and the Metropolitan Police Department sought public assistance in gathering information about the homicide.
