On August 26, 2005, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Brian Thomas, age 42, was shot and killed in the 700 block of Oglethorpe Street, NE, in Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene, and the incident was classified as a homicide.
