In the early afternoon of a spring day in Washington, D.C., Nathaniel David Brooks, a 32-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 12:55 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015, in the 3400 block of 22nd Street, SE.
