In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of a promising 33-year-old architect named Damon Ward was tragically cut short. On February 26, 2006, at approximately 2:54 a.m., Ward was caught in the crossfire of a dispute he had no part in, fatally wounded by a stray bullet in front of 1208 U Street, NW.
