In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., violence shattered the quiet of a residential street. On April 17, 2016, at approximately 3:11 a.m., gunfire erupted in the 2500 block of 17th Street, Northwest. When police arrived, they found 35-year-old Jayvon Marshman of Southeast, D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency medical efforts, the male victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
