On April 17, 2016, Jayvon Marshman, aged 35, was fatally shot in the 2500 block of Mozart Place NW, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 3:11 a.m. when police responded to reports of gunshots in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered Marshman suffering from gunshot wounds, and despite attempts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
