On June 28, 2023, at approximately 10:08 PM, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District responded to a report of a shooting on the 700 block of 19th Street, Northeast, in Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, they found 54-year-old Tavonayna Glenn, who had no fixed address, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Glenn was pronounced dead at the scene.
